Children, it’s going to be a great holiday!

The Harz is the perfect holiday destination for families with children. The surrounding area of St. Andreasberg offers many great opportunities for large and small explorers. Here are a select few suggestions – by no means exhaustive:

The Löwenzahn Discovery Trail

The Löwenzahn Discovery Trail is very close to the Brocken Railway Station in Drei Annen Hohne: lots of nature fun for inquisitive children – and adults can certainly still learn something.

The tour lasts about two hours and leads to many exciting stops where various riddles and puzzles are waiting for clever children.

Krodoland

The Krodoland amusement park is located in Westerode in Bad Harzburg. There’s a play barn with real tree houses, an Indian village, a Kettcar track and a giant roller trail. Those brave enough could try a pony ride – and both large and small visitors should definitely try their hand at “panning for gold” in Krodo-City!

Forest Park “Auf der Alten Burg”

Over 600 animals can be experienced at close range in the beautifully landscaped country animal park in Aschersleben. Particularly fascinating are the two white tigers Klara and Karim and the Siberian tiger Puhdy. But also flamingos, bats, marmosets, ocelots and many, many more animals can be admired on the 10-hectare site.

Bird Sanctuary Osterode

On the trail through the mysterious forest you can observe birds usually only found in the wild from very close – with a bit of luck you’ll see a talking raven! There are even exotic peacocks strutting around the bird sanctuary station and of course you are allowed to feed the ducks.

VITAMAR bathing and sauna fun

Wave pool and wild water slide, sauna and massage: the VITAMAR in Bad Lauterberg offers fun and relaxation for the whole family. Where to go first – to the thousand square metre experience area, the children’s paradise (33 ° C) or straight to the 100 metre long water slide with its great light and sound effects?

Brockenbad Wernigerode

A special highlight in the Brockenbad Wernigerode: the white water channel with bubble mountain. But the water grotto with its real waterfall is of course really great. Younger guests will enjoy the rainbow slide and the little ones are in good hands in the baby pool.

Indoor Playground Regenbogenland

The indoor playground Regenbogenland in Bad Sachsa is a great destination for the whole family whatever the weather. You can play, romp, run, slide, climb, crawl, hop and jump – and bowling, water park, gym and ice rink offer large and small guests even more recreational fun.

The Sagen-Pavillon

What is it about the mysterious hoof print, which can be seen in the rock since hundreds of years? How does the story of the beautiful princess Brunhilde and the furious knight Bodo end? This and much more is told with exciting multimedia presentations in the Sagen-Pavillon on the Rosstrappe in Thale.
