The house is a non-smoking property. We therefore ask you to use the terrace or the outdoor area for smoking. Pets are permitted. Please ensure that your pet only uses its own basket or blanket. Subsequent guests will certainly appreciate clean seating and beds. Please pay close attention to cleanliness. Bags for disposing of your four-legged friends' waste can be found in the cloakroom.
We would like you to feel completely at home with us and hope that you like the furnishings. You will find a selection of games in the lower section of the TV cabinet. Information on the TV and music with soundbar, telephone, Wi-Fi, internet, etc. follows on the next pages. The wood-burning stove is easy to use. Firewood as a welcome gift is in the basket next to the stove, along with firelighters and cleaner for the glass. For cleaning the stove, you will find an ash vacuum in the built-in cupboard of the cloakroom. Please vacuum only cold ash, place the ash in a rubbish bag, and dispose of it in the bin. Additional firewood and other accessories can be purchased, for example, at the nearby Nahkauf supermarket on Schützenstraße , and/or please note the information in our description next to the wood-burning stove. From the living and dining room, two double-door elements provide direct access to the terrace, which is furnished with seating.
Naturally, the beds in both bedrooms will be freshly made for the number of persons booked. Bathrobes and sauna towels can be found on the respective beds or in the wardrobe opposite. In one of the wardrobes, you will find a high chair, iron, and ironing board. The shutters can be closed manually.
In the entrance area, you will find built-in cupboards on both sides. One offers plenty of space for your coats, boots, shoes, and luggage. You will also find the previously mentioned bags for disposing of your four-legged friend's waste there. The cupboard wall opposite has space for the vacuum cleaner, ash vacuum for the fireplace, mop, cleaning supplies, bucket, as well as the fire extinguisher and first aid kit. The locked doors of the cupboard wall are accessible to room service or contain the heating system.
Start your vacation day in the modern and comfortably equipped bathroom – your wellness oasis! A hairdryer is of course provided (vanity drawer) and a collection of toiletries awaits you as a welcome gift. Our request to you: Please follow the instructions regarding the disposal of hygiene products for him and her and never flush hygiene items such as pads, diapers, etc., down the toilet. This could cause the outdoor pump system to fail.
The high-quality fitted kitchen is integrated into the living area. It is fully equipped with a ceramic hob, oven, extractor hood, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, refrigerator, and freezer compartment. A special kitchen highlight is the Vorwerk Thermomix. For this innovative appliance, we provide operating instructions, detailed documentation, and delicious recipes. The round magnetic chip serves as a cookbook and opens up a variety of recipes for you. Please ensure that this useful chip always remains with the appliance. Accessories are located in the first drawer under the bench.
The safe is located in the bedroom wardrobe and can be secured with a personal code of your choice. An example is 1 2 3 4 5 6 and #. To open the safe, enter your code and #. The operating instructions are at the end of the folder.
Set personal code To set the personal code: Close the door. Enter personal code. Press the “#” button. Device locks the door. Device stores the new personal code. Correct code entry If a digit of the code is entered incorrectly: Press the “*” button. The last digit entered is deleted. Alarm If the door is closed and an incorrect code is entered: Display shows “ERROR” Buzzer sounds an alarm. After entering an incorrect code 3 times: Wait 5 minutes. Enter the correct personal code or master code. Press the “#” button. The device unlocks the door. Open the door. Malfunctions/troubleshooting Malfunctions of the device may only be remedied by qualified personnel. Decommissioning If the device is not in use: Remove the batteries. Maintenance The device may only be serviced by qualified personnel. Cleaning If necessary, dust the device with a soft, clean cloth.
The device is usually in standby mode and is switched on with the remote control. Otherwise, please switch it on manually. The high-quality Grundig soundbar ensures excellent sound. Operating instructions for the television and soundbar can be found further back in this folder and also with the device.
TV reception is via a satellite system. The television is usually in standby mode, indicated by the red LED at the bottom right. Switch on using the remote control. With the “GUIDE” button on the right in the middle, you can display the list of channels. Further back, radio stations are also listed.
To switch on the sound for the television, press the top left button. The LED lights up white. The TV sound can be heard via the soundbar. You can also play your own music from your smartphone, PC or laptop via the soundbar using Bluetooth. To activate Bluetooth, press and hold the “Source” button on the soundbar (bottom, on the middle strip) for a few seconds. You will hear an acoustic signal and the LED will flash blue. The connection to your device can now be established. To do so, on your device under Settings – Bluetooth, confirm “pair/connect” for the device name GSB 800. You will now hear music from your own device. To switch back to TV sound, press the “Source” button. The LED lights up white, the connection to your device is disconnected, and you will once again hear the TV sound.
You can also listen to radio stations via the TV system.
Wi-Fi and internet are available to you free of charge. We will be happy to provide you with the password. The terms of use are set out in the general terms and conditions. Illegal downloading of music or films is expressly prohibited and will be prosecuted.

The distribution and fuse box for the power supply are located in the cupboard wall in the entrance area opposite the cloakroom.

Among the amenities for our guests at the BergWiese country houses is a sauna located directly on the grounds of the complex. It is modelled on traditional Finnish sauna kotas and offers you a truly special sauna experience with its rustic charm. Power is available via a timer from 4 PM to 9 PM. Use of the sauna is free of charge for our guests.

Otherwise, we kindly ask you to inform the Oberharzer Concierge Service. The kota is available to all guests on an equal basis; we therefore kindly ask you to coordinate its use among yourselves. Safety notice for sauna use Never place textiles on the stove – otherwise there is an acute fire hazard. To avoid burns, please keep your distance from the stove. As the landlord, we accept no liability for injuries or health-related damage.
Your house key also gives you access to the grill kota. High-quality charcoal and grill items can be purchased in town, for example at the Nahkauf supermarket in Schützenstraße. Please clean the grill after use and ensure that no embers remain in the grill when leaving. Please lock the grill hut again after use. A fire extinguisher is also located there.

It is modelled on a traditional Finnish grill kota and offers you, with its rustic charm, an atmospheric grilling experience even in the cooler season or in bad weather. Use of the BBQ hut is free of charge for our guests. Please note the following: The kota accommodates 12 to 15 people and is available to all guests on an equal basis. Please coordinate its use among yourselves. Perhaps you would like to arrange a joint barbecue? For your own safety, please use only charcoal and approved, low-flammability firelighters. Open flames and the use of methylated spirits are expressly prohibited. You will find grill tongs and other utensils needed for grilling in the grill kota. Please never leave embers unattended. Just in case, an approved, regularly inspected fire extinguisher is available opposite the kota entrance. Please dispose of residual ash and charcoal remains in the metal bucket next to the waste container by the garden house. Please clean the grill grate itself with the designated brush. We ask that you lock the Kota after use and leave it as clean as you would like to find it yourself. The caretaker service inspects the entire facility every day to ensure it is in perfect condition, so that you will hopefully have no cause for complaint. Otherwise, we ask you to notify the Tourist Information. As landlords, we assume no liability for injuries or health damage.
The lockable equipment shed is available for any sports equipment you have brought with you. There you can store bicycles, your ski equipment in winter, and similar items. You are also welcome to use the boot dryers . The light turns on and off via a motion sensor.
One free parking space per apartment is available in the lower area of the property. For the parking spaces with charging stations, please coordinate with other guests so that everyone has a chance to charge . Traffic regulations apply on the property. The owner is not liable for damages. Should you arrive with multiple vehicles: Additional (unfortunately partly chargeable) parking spaces are available at Kurhaus Am Kurpark 12.
The residual waste bins are located in the box next to the equipment shed. Containers for glass and paper are also located at the sports field on Katharina-Neufang-Straße and at the municipal yard on Schulstraße.
If it has snowed overnight, the property will be cleared of snow early in the morning. During the day, please help out yourself. Snow shovels are available in the tool shed. In addition, there is a snow shovel on the terrace.

Of course, it is always a bit of a shame when a wonderful vacation comes to an end. We hope you felt comfortable with us and in the magnificent Harz landscape. We would be delighted to welcome you as a guest again. Before departure, please ensure that you have emptied the refrigerator and trash bins and remember your valuables in the safe. Please place dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it before departure. Be sure to use the short program (30 minutes) so that the Oberharzer Concierge Service has the chance to handle the emptying as part of the final cleaning. The fireplace must not be used on the day of departure, as the hot ash can no longer be disposed of. Are the windows locked? Please leave the house key on the living room table and simply pull the front door shut.
