The Matthias Schmidt Mountain ski centre offers slopes of all difficulty levels and lengths for skiers and snowboarders: steep runs are available for ambitious skiers, while beginners will find the ideal piste for them on gentler terrain. Two double chairlifts and two drag lifts ensure fast transport.
Toboggan run at the Kurhaus Sankt Andreasberg
Open from mid-December to the end of March when snow conditions permit. The toboggan run in the Teichtal, right by the Kurhaus in Sankt Andreasberg, is 300 m long and illuminated in the evening hours.

Race down the hill in a tube: the snow tubing facility right next to the toboggan slope at the Kurhaus offers a very special kind of tobogganing fun. The fast run is almost 200 m long – and getting back up is easy and comfortable by lift.
Nordic walking in the Upper Harz – a healthy start
A Nordic walking park with three Nordic walking routes is signposted directly in Sankt Andreasberg, with difficulty levels of easy, medium and hard. The starting point for all routes is the car park at the Kurhaus / toboggan slope. They run mainly along the sunny high ground through the Upper Harz mountain meadows above the mountain town, which can be circled once on the long route.
